Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,
Good morning from St. Joseph’s High School in Red Deer, Alberta, where our Pearson Robotics Team is competing in the Provincials Championships. The top 32 teams from all over Alberta have converge into central Alberta to see who will be top robot and earn a berth to the World Championships in Houston, Texas. This was a busy weekend with Wrestling Provincials, Pearson Badminton Invitational, and our Vocal Jazz participating in the Contemporary Vocal Arts Festival and our Marketing and Management Students taking the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta High School Accounting Quiz. Parents, Guardians and Caregivers, remember to get your Bookings in for virtual P/T Conferences next week.
Labour relations updates can be found on the CBE website.
We have so much to share in this issue, please read on:
Our Pearson Robotics Team is in the middle of competition on Sunday morning and hopes to advance to playoffs in the afternoon. No matter what, it has been an exciting season for the entire team along with mentors, Butlin, Trautmann and Tran. Provincials is a learning experience too and the team will return next season, stronger, wiser and much improved robotic design and programming skills.
