Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

What an exciting week this has been. There are always moments and accomplishments to share and celebrate. This week was no different with Unified Sports, our Spring Dance Show, the Track and Field City Championships and our Graduation Banquet; more photos and stories to share than pages in this newsletter (although there are a lot of pages – LOL). I will let the pictures speak for themselves. 

Please note that the Student Parking lot is now closed. We await Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 30.

Important Notice – No Student Parking

No student parking at Pearson has now commenced. This move was deemed necessary due to increasing concerns over safety for students, staff and the public. Discussions with School Parent Council and School Staff support this decision. There have been injuries in student parking due to careless driving and stunting. There has also been vandalism to vehicles. The honking of car horns or purposely setting off car alarms has been disruptive to learning. Expectations regarding use of student parking such as no loitering in cars or the parking lot during classes have not been fully abided by resulting in lates and truancy. The student parking lot has also attracted individuals and their vehicles that do not belong to Pearson. It is hoped that student pick up and drop off at the beginning and end of the day for parents, and students will be safer and more efficient as a benefit. Students are encouraged to use public transit, walk, and bike or arrange for rides during this time.

Culture Day

This Monday, May 26 is Culture Day! Wear your cultural outfits and come to the café at lunch for Cultural music, dance and celebration!

Field Hockey home vs. FL at CSS #4 at 3:30pm

Tuesday, May 27: Jr. Soccer Semi-Finals away at Fowler at 4:30pm
