Dear Students, Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

Given a hopeful outcome with labor negotiations, this will be my last newsletter until a settlement is achieved, and we can return to school. I hope that will be soon. In the meantime, there is so much to celebrate in the past week. I hope you enjoy sharing in the learning, living and life that is Lester B Pearson.

Cafeteria Furniture Fundraiser

Help us renew the cafeteria. It is the Heart of Pearson and needs new furniture. Visit EducationMatters Lester B Pearson Cafeteria Upgrades. Spread the word to your workplace.

Save the Date

Until further notice all meetings such as School Parents’ Council and FAPA Parents’ Council are canceled for the month of October. All athletics, clubs and work with agencies are also canceled. AIFY, CIWA, Bridges may still reach out and provide support outside the school. The school is also closed until further notice.

Always a joy when a former student becomes a teacher. Ms. Khan was a guest teacher last week and I taught her at Mandela in 2016. The Chinese Cultural Dancers after performing at the Culture Day Assembly and at lunch. Asha, Anad, Tirath and Ms. Buchan after cleaning up and putting away all the chairs, tables and dishes from our Sisters in Spirit Walk. They are all good eggs.

I hope to see all my staff, students and parents again very soon.
